Mindfulness: How it helps us

Mindfulness simply suggests that our mind is fully present to what's happening, being fully aware of the present.

 Hey there, I hope you’ve had a wonderful weekend and that you’re entirely ready to embark on what the new week has installed for you. The topic of today’s blog post is mindfulness

Mindfulness is the ability to be fully present in the moment that is going on right now. Without thinking about the past, the future, or other things going on in your life.

Practicing mindfulness helps us focus on what we are doing right now, and concentrating on what you are doing right now, has two beautiful effects.

1.    It helps you become more successful at whatever it is you are doing.

By shifting those negative thoughts to positive ones, you are teaching your mind to merely manage how you feel about certain circumstances more effectively and efficiently. You become entirely focus without any distractions whatsoever, and in return, more productive in every aspect of your life. Once we’ve come to terms that the only thing we can change is ourselves, not the past or future or anyone else for that matter. And to realize that the only thing that is worth our effort is to be in control of our minds.

2.    Mindfulness gives your mind a break from those worry thoughts and concerns.

Isn’t it great to know that we can take a break from worrying and being sad about our situations from time to time? That’s one of the things that mindfulness does. It allows us to give our minds that rest it deserves by helping us focus on the present moment instead of what happened in the past, or what the future looks like for us. It takes away those uncertainties that life throws typically at us and gives us peace and maximum mind relaxation.

Mindfulness simply suggests that our mind is fully present to what's happening, being fully aware of the present.

And with that said, I like you to take a few deep breaths so that if someone is near you, they could hear you breathing. And if you find that your mind has wandered off, just gently bring it back to your breaths.

Do this for 5-10 mins whenever you have time, and you would begin to notice changes with your mind. As we all know, the mind is a powerful thing.

    Agreed! I have been workong on my thoughts, resting my mind, destressing, etc…more lately and it really helps. I just meditated for 45 minutes and while that does not seem like a long time I feel refreshed and able to push forward with my day now.

    I try to always have mindfulness. And I love this pink sweater. Taking deep breaths always seems to help me out.

    Mindfulness isn’t as easy as I think it should be at times. I have taken to listening to new age music (like a spa!) or to meditation apps throughout the day to get myself on track. It definitely helps!

    I agree, sometimes I feel I need to be more present in life. I like your tip of breathing, I think when we do take that deep breath it helps us to focus and relax.

    Embracing positivity is a great way into a better life. When we focus on negative thoughts not only we see the situation in a grim way but also seam to attract more negativity in your life. Being positive (but not silly optimistic of whatever) is an awesome way to make your life better

    It does help to reduce all the stresses you have. When you get away from the things which distract you it helps reduce that stress.

    I started meditating with Head Space a few months ago and so far I love it! I can tell a real difference with how I react to my emotions and I’ve learned to be fully enveloped in the present moment more and more. Mindfulness is a very important tool to have!

    Great post! I’ve been trying to meditate more, these days, and I can definitely see the difference from the days that I don’t meditate. We all need to remember take care of ourselves, our minds especially.

    Mindfulness is VERY important! I practise this daily and love the positive feeling that I have throughout the day!
